THE PORTRAITS
I'm usually hugely uncomfortable with photographing people, so that's why I as a professional photographer over the years have produced all these tens of thousands of pictures of objects, antiques and various products, but very few portraits of people.
The portraits I show here are almost all made outside of my professional role as a photographer. The models are friends, girlfriends, and other people who have crossed my path. Some pictures are staged, others completely spontaneous, some are carefully lit, for others I have used the existing light.
