THE STILL LIFE I
I have always made what are usually called still life pictures, depicting objects and things. During 2014 and 2015 I gradually started to simplify and scale down the still lifes I made. Colour became black and white, the lighting became simpler, the arrangements cleaner, the light and shape became more important than the objects themselves, and I decided that it is perfectly ok to use the same objects over and over again in several pictures. I've continued on that path, and most of the pictures you can see here were made from around 2022 onwards. Without exaggerating too much, one could say that the creation of this kind of pictures is associated with a certain obsession on my part.
